This is not an explanatory book, nor an appendis to the work. This book is also the work itself. This work does not belong to the exhibition space, but to the space of the book. This is a documentation of the process of this project, displaying the artist´s journeys to the exclusion zone - an excluded area, both in a metaphorical and literal sense. In the "Chernobyl Project", process and outcome are not dissociated. The means of construction is present as work, as duration embedded in the radiographic-negatives, each one requiring a certain period of time in order to imprint an image. An image of something that, although dramatically present, remains invisible. What is displayed here is, nevertheless, more than that. Shown here is the duration of a whole process, its paths, obstacles and ideas. Just as the radiographic images of Chernobyl are a visualization of something that never completely reveals itself: this book, in the same way, approaches something that is never fully displayed.
