Excellent prose translation of the ancient epic poem recounts the adventures of Odysseus on his homeward voyage from the Trojan War. The clever hero circumvents the wrath of Poseidon to overcome an incredible array of obstacles, including a fantastic cast of adversaries — Cyclops, the one-eyed giant; the enchantress Circe; plus cannibals, sirens, and many other monstrous creatures. Unabridged republication of the 1921 George Herbert Palmer translation.
